At the Institute of Digital Communication Systems at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, we are looking for a scientific employee (full-time).
The successful candidate will join a strong and motivated research team will be required to carry out research (experimental / analytical) on the topic of
• Signal processing in wireless networks
with a focus on one of the following areas:
• Ultra-Massive MIMO THz Communication Systems
• Edge Computing, Caching, Content Delivery networks
• Low Latency Communications
• PHY Security
• THz Communication
• Joint Sensing, Localization und Communication
• Software Defined Radios
• Radiation exposition and countermeasures in wireless networks
In addition, the position holder will be required to perform the follows tasks
• Presentation of research results at international congresses and in front of clients and research partners
• Development of Demonstrators in Software Defined Radio
• Delivering outputs for third-party projects of public or private contracting entities
• Organization of scientific conferences
• preparation of research applications (for example to the DFG or the EU)
• Assisting in teaching duties

Requirements profile
The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience with methods from
• Convex optimization
• Pattern recognition
• Linear algebra and probability theory
• Experience in Matlab, C, and LabView
The ideal candidate should have:
• A very good degree (master's or diploma) in a relevant academic university degree (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science or mathematics)
• A high level of performance
• Interest in theoretical work with subsequent verification in a testbed (hardware / software)
• Fluent written and verbal German and English skills.
